I am delighted to share my passion for sourdough baking with you through The Sourdough Source Einkorn Sourdough Starter.

My journey into the world of sourdough bread-making began with lessons from my German grandmother.  She deeply instilled in me a profound appreciation for healthy, whole foods. She taught me the value of simplicity in our diet and the importance of understanding what ingredients go into the food we eat. Bread, in particular, was a subject close to her heart. She believed that bread should consist of only a few ingredients. Yet, as I visited grocery stores and bakeries, I found that breads were filled with unpronounceable additives and preservatives, leaving me feeling frustrated.

Determined to find a solution, I turned to a gluten-free diet, only to discover the transformative power of Einkorn flour. Einkorn is an ancient grain known for its nutritional benefits and digestibility. It was through experimenting with Einkorn that I found a way to make bread that honors my grandmother’s teachings—bread with just a handful of ingredients, free from the additives that had previously caused me discomfort.

This personal discovery led me to launch The Sourdough Source Einkorn Sourdough Starter, where our mission is to offer you not just a sourdough starter, but a way to reconnect with the simplicity and purity of traditional baking. Our signature Einkorn sourdough starter is crafted with care, using artesian mineral water and Italian organic and glyphosate-free Einkorn flour, naturally fermented with wild yeast. Unlike many commercial starters, ours is free from artificial cultures and additives.

Our starter opens the door to a range of delicious creations, from hearty sourdough bread loaves to sourdough pancakes, sourdough muffins,  sourdough cakes, sourdough pizza crusts, and more. Our product comes in an amber glass jar, designed to protect your starter and ensure it remains in pristine condition.
